Melissa and David's Wedding...

On June 26th, Melissa and David were married at Marden Park outside by the water. It was a rainy morning, but the sky got it all out before the ceremony began. Melissa looked amazing and David turned out to be the blushing groom! He was glowing as soon as he saw Melissa walk down with her father. After the ceremony I don't think David could keep his hands off Melissa!

Finishing up the family photos at Marden Park the wedding party was off to get their photos taken at Riverside Park in Guelph. We had a ton of fun there and shared a lot of great laughs! When all the photos were done, the party made their way to the limo but before they all got in they started to dance! They had a blast:) As they were dancing a bus load of tourist's were so intrigued by the wedding party and all their great moves the tourist's all started taking their photos. It was a moment worth catching!

The Davidson's

Summer time is here! The season of family photos. It's all about changing up some of the old home images for new and updated ones. Also the importance to getting them done at least once a year, especially when you have children. I believe that it is always interesting and wonderful to see change in a frame.

Sarah Davidson contacted me last month for all the same reasons... to get some more up to date photos of her family for their home in Platsville. She has such a beautiful family, inside and out! Sarah's family was so fun, welcoming, and unforgettable. I really felt like a cousin in such a short time. They teased Becky my assistant and I the second we got there it was awesome!

Apparently, Sarah's sister in-law Lisa got a phone call that I got in town early and had stopped into Platsville's local and only bar to get something to eat. Lisa told me they have a close family friend that was working in the back that called her to let them know I was in town early. So the joke is happy hour starts early for us... but it really just happened to be the only place open to get a bite to eat:)

Helen Mennill's Happy 90th...

Earlier this month, I got a phone call from Jocelyn about coming to take photos of Helen Mennill, Jocelyn's mother-in-law. Helen was going to be celebrating her 90th birthday and was coming down from London to Waterloo for the party. Coincidentally, the Wednesday Helen's birthday party falls on also happens to fall on the same date as my birthday! ...and well my birthday just wouldn't have been complete if I didn't get to do some form of photography.

Especially for a 90th birthday, they just don't come around that often and when they do capturing memories for others keeps everything about the day alive! More importantly all the little things that happen because they are most often forgotten.

Helen's 90th birthday isn't small peanuts! It's a testament to life...

Ashley's Maternity Photoshoot...

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley for the first time to take some of her maternity photos at Decorators Corner in the Atrium in UpTown Waterloo. We had a great time talking and getting to know each other a little bit better. I found out the Ashley has her own studio and teaches little ones dance in Listowel. I also found out that she doesn't know if she's having a boy or a girl and leaving it all to surprise!

This week I got the cutest email from Ashley's sister Sarah letting me know that Ashley had a baby girl on May 21st and her name is Ella Sarah Aarrts. She's 7lbs and 3oz and she is so tiny and precious. I'm so happy for you Ashley and your new family!

Chris and Sarah's Engagement Shoot

It was my first time meeting Chris and Sarah last year and they are such a wonderful and happy couple. They had recently gotten engaged in Glen Morris just out side of Cambridge. Unfortunately we ran out of time last summer when the weather was good to be able to take their engagement photos. Well, winter has come and gone again and the good weather is back!

Last weekend we had the best opportunity to take them. The wind was strong but the sun and clouds couldn't be more perfect for photos. Chris and Sarah love to bike ride in Glen Morris because of the beautiful trails there. It's a little quaint town with some amazing views of the Grand River.

Kunashe's Many Expressions...

Two weeks ago I took some photos of Kunashe. She is so adorable with a ton of personality. Kunashe's mother Katrine and I had a pretty good laugh with Kunashe and her comfortably in front of the camera. She definitely loved getting her photo taken, and making us laugh.
